Why don't you just use a custom programmed Forex robot?
Alright, so after reading a bit about Forex trading I logically conclude that discipline and preset rules for trading are mandatory. If you are professional about it, then your rules should be quantifiable in mathematical data. For example:
When X raises by Y, buy Z, hold for A amount of time...
So let us say you have developed these rules and want to test them, why would you not use a custom programmed bot for this? If you aren't using the bot you are basically trading on emotions and "gut feelings" not quantifiable data, correct? Wouldn't this be the most efficient way to trade forex? Also, aren't there are a ton of companies doing this? Making bots who backtest market conditions, trying to find patterns?
